Herbaceous perennial ranging from 4 to 7 feet in height, Joe Pye Weed blooms tiny, pink flower clusters from midsummer to early fall. Joe Pye Weed is a favorite of butterflies and other insects – many of which in turn attract insectivorous birds. The seeds of Joe Pye Weed are eaten by seed eating birds like the American Goldfinch.
