Herbaceous perennial ranging from 2 to 4 feet in height, Great Blue Lobelia is a hummingbird favorite – just like the similar Red Cardinal Flower. Great Blue Lobelia blooms blue-purple tubular flowers in late summer, the nectar form the flowers attracts insects (which in turn attract insectivorous birds) and hummingbirds.
